Revolution Field Hockey Camps are the only youth camps you’ll need to take your field hockey game to the next level. We’re proud to be top-rated within the industry, and we developed these programs with the sole purpose of providing young athletes a chance to improve in both a fun and positive environment.

Each year, some of the sport’s best coaches and athletes join the Revolution in to build up your confidence and passion in the sport of field hockey as much as possible. Each camp we put on throughout 13 different states across the country is based upon the same five core values: excellence, fun, improvement, safety, and sportsmanship.

Most Revolution Field Hockey Camps are for athletes aged 10-18, but some cater to a high school demographic, and others offer half-day options for 6-10-year-olds. All skill levels are welcome, and because of our personalized approach toward providing instruction, each camper will be able to improve the areas of their game that need it the most, along with maximizing their potential.

What to Expect at Field Hockey Camp

While the order and length of times vary from camp to camp, a typical day camp schedule looks something like this: arrive at 8:30 am for check-in, gear up and stretch by 9:00 am, followed by field hockey sessions, skill demonstrations, and breaks throughout the day. Lunch is either brought by you or provided by the camp. The day wraps up around 3 pm after scrimmages.

At overnight camp, you’ll experience the same quality instruction but with more socializing and strategy time. A typical day might start at 7 am with breakfast, followed by gear-up and warm-ups. Field hockey sessions run throughout the day with breaks for lunch, free time, and swimming. Evening activities include strategy sessions, scrimmages, and camp activities like bonfires or movies before lights out at 10 pm.

During field hockey sessions, campers will learn various defensive, offensive, and special skills. If you’re a field player, you’ll advance your skills in areas like ball control, passing & receiving, goal scoring, defensive positioning, tackling, and more. There is specialized goalie training at each location, too, including clearing & accuracy, communication, recovery, footwork, agility, and strokes.

How to Make the Most of Your Camp Experience

Since we know that every field hockey player is a little bit different from one another, there is a personal approach when it comes to providing instruction. While we do our best to make sure you get everything needed to get better during camp, it’s also up to you in order to make the most of what will be an unforgettable experience.

Pick the right format for your needs. Just as we said that no two players are the same, one summer field hockey camp is very likely going to vary from the next you look at – even if it looks similar! While there are actually eight different kinds of camps you can choose from, they boil down into four specific formats: overnight, extended day, day, and half-day camps.

Make sure you pack up all your equipment. We want campers to have fun and feel safe in a comfortable environment. One of the best ways you can achieve the necessary comfort levels to truly improve on the field is to do it with all your own equipment. It’s tough playing with someone else’s gear because you’re not used to it. So, make sure you double-check your bags before hopping in the car and heading into camp.

Take advantage of having some of the best coaches in the game helping you. Whether your goal is to make the team next year or eventually earn an NCAA scholarship, we can assure you that investing in a Revolution Camp will leave a positive lifelong impact. There’s personal access to nationally renowned coaches who will push you further than ever before, all while having a great time!

Learn as much as you can both on the field and off the field. Improving on the field in the physical aspect of the game is important, but improving off the field, as both an athlete and a person are other benefits you receive from attending a summer field hockey camp. Our coaches are also fantastic role models, and all camp directors are Double-Goal Certified by the Positive Coaching Alliance, which is a national nonprofit organization to develop better athletes and better people.

Come with the right attitude. One of the most important ways that field hockey camps differs from camper to camper is in attitude. How you perceive camp and instruction will vastly affect how well you learn and enjoy camp. If you go to camp thinking you are going to learn a lot and develop as a player, while still having a lot of fun, then you will do exactly that. There is only so much a coach can do. The rest is up to you.

Continuing Your Experience Year-Round

We often spend a lot of time talking about your experience at field hockey camp, but it only ends up being a handful of (super fun) days that you’re with us in the summer. If you’ve truly enjoyed your experience – which we know you will! – how can that continue throughout the rest of the year?

Well, there are a couple of ways to make that happen.
