Are you a field hockey player that’s looking to get better over the summer before the season rolls around next fall? If you’re living in the Massachusetts area – or planning on taking a vacation in the area this year – then we have three interesting options for you at Revolution.
Each of these options are listed below, with important details that’ll help you make a decision as to which location and camp type is the best fit for what you’re looking for.
Camp Name: Massachusetts Field Hockey Clinics at Mass Maritime Academy
Location: Buzzards Bay, MA
Camp Types/Prices: Overnight ($575), Extended day ($475)
Dates Available: July 19th – July 21st, 2018
Brief Overview: Attending this CORE Field Hockey Camp at Mass Maritime is sure to be a unique instructional experience for you. We’re happy to have the head field hockey coach of Middlebury College (the 2015 NCAA National Champions), Katharine DeLorenzo, leading the way for this camp.
One of the main goals for this camp is to provide a high level of individualized instruction to those in attendance.
Other Details: Camp doesn’t officially start until 1:30p on the first day with an opening meeting, but we’ll be busy with campers from 9a-1p with private one-on-one morning assessments. The timing of your assessment will be based on both preference and proximity to camp. When it’s time to head home on the final day, checkout will be done at 3:30p.
Camp Name: Smith College Field Hockey Camp
Location: Northampton, MA
Camp Types/Prices: Overnight ($565), Extended Day ($465), Day ($365)
Dates Available: July 2nd – July 6th, 2018
August 6th – August 9th, 2018
Brief Overview: Smith College is conveniently located just 45 minutes from Hartford, CT and two hours from Boston, making it accessible for players from many different areas. If you’re looking for a camp that’ll serve as good prep for school try-outs, then this is the one! Campers will enjoy all the pristine amenities on Smith’s campus, which includes their FieldTurf Stadium.
We’re happy to have Jaime Ginsberg leading the way for this camp. She’s been coaching at Smith for 10 years, has earned U.S. Field Hockey Coaching Certifications for Levels 1 & 2 and is a member of the National Field Hockey Coaching Association.
Other Details: This camp is open to players from ages 10-18 of all ability levels. Overnight and Extended day campers will be checking in 12p on the first day, along with checking out at the same time on the final day. Day campers should expect to be on campus from 8:45a to 3p each day.
Camp Name: Cape Cod Field Hockey Camp
Location: South Yarmouth, MA
Camp Types/Prices: Half Day ($245 – only 6-9 year olds), Day ($365)
Dates Available: July 9th – July 12th, 2018
Brief Overview: If you’re looking to keep your field hockey skills fresh while on vacation, then this is the camp for you! Revolution has been offering the best vacation field hockey camp for 10 years now. This opportunities offers indoor and outdoor training facilities at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School and a much-needed run through the sprinklers on those hot afternoons!
We’re happy to have Babson’s head field hockey coach (and the winningest coach in program history), Julie Ryan, leading the way for this particular experience.
Other Details: As mentioned above, the half-day camp is open to children ages from 6-9, but the day camp is open to children from ages 7-18, regardless of ability level. Campers must bring their own lunch and should expect to be with us from 9a-3p. Half-day campers will be with us from 9a-12p.
