The goals of any athlete vary from player to player, and that’s no different when we’re talking about field hockey. It’s something we see every single year at our Revolution Field Hockey Camps – we get athletes of all ages and skill levels joining us to get better.

But what if you’re a high school field hockey player and you have your eye on playing at the next level in college? Well, you better really love it, and you also have to be prepared for what’s to come! Becoming an NCAA athlete – whether it’s at the Division I, II or III level – takes a lot of hard work and determination.

This is why we offer a Showcase at Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. Known as Southern Exposure, this is a two-day experience that will take place from June 10-11 and brings together an elite group of college coaches and aspiring athletes like you!

As a group, the steps necessary to become a college athlete are explored. This gives you the opportunity to see what the college recruiting process is like by meeting coaches and finding out their style.

We call it the Southern Exposure for a reason – it will change your expectations for quality exposure, all while falling further in love with the sport.

This is a unique opportunity and we do have to limit the enrollment so we can make sure each person in attendance receives the maximum exposure to the coaches who will be there. For this summer’s event, those graduating in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 are welcome to come.

Take advantage of being seen by coaches you may not have had the opportunity to play in front of and potentially open doors to contacts in field hockey beyond high school. We have top coaches from well-known colleges available to walk players through the recruitment process, the academic admissions criteria needed to qualify and what it takes to play field hockey at the next level.

Are you curious as to which coaches have already committed to joining us at Southern Exposure this June? Here’s a list that will continue to grow moving forward:

  • Bronwen Gainsford, Belmont Abbey College
  • Anne Kietzman, Washington College
  • Kim Keever, Limestone College
  • Brandi Kist, Queens College
  • Jane Wells, Johns Hopkins University
  • Mark Blankenbaker, Bellarmine University
  • Laura McIntyre, Sewanee University
  • Ginny Turner, Davidson College
  • Meghan Dawson, Appalachian State
  • Kelsey Lovelace, Converse College
  • Sarah Humphries, Transylvania University
  • Jenelle Anthony, Centre College
  • Rebecca Begley, Hendrix College

And like we said, there’s still more to come!
