Here Are the Best New Jersey Field Hockey Camps for 2021
The best way to elevate your field hockey skills is to join us at a Revolution Field Hockey Camp this summer. We’ve been in this business since 2002, so we’ve got this process down to a science, and more than 40,000 past campers can attest to the fact that we know how to create an unforgettable experience in many different respects!
We know that to enjoy the ultimate field hockey camp experience, players need to be afforded a safe and fun environment to learn and grow throughout the duration of camp. With the havoc COVID-19 has created on every-day life — including youth sports — the concept of “safe and fun” has been redefined many times over. We know how difficult the past year has been for everyone, and especially the kids who have dealt with at least some level of remote learning over the past 12 months. We’re proud to take the necessary cautions from the CDC and state/local governments to provide field hockey players a camp experience that makes things feel “normal”, even if it’s only for a short period of time.
Improving on the field is the main goal of every Revolution Field Hockey Camp, but it goes beyond that, too. We bring in some of the game’s top coaches from around the country to not only provide top-tier field hockey training but also stress the importance of being a good person. Having coaches and directors be Double-Goal Certified by the Positive Coaching Alliance displays exactly how important it is to our staff to provide both field hockey and life lessons along the way.
Some of the skills you’ll hone at field hockey camp this summer include the following: dribbling, passing and receiving, ball control, shooting, defensive tackling, positioning, teamwork, footwork, agility, 3D skills, and scanning and tracing.
If you’re a field hockey player and live in New Jersey — or somewhere within the metro New York/tri-state area — then this post is for you. Take the first step toward having the type of camp experience you’ll want to continue having each summer after this upcoming one. There are three specific locations in New Jersey offering field hockey camp opportunities, all of which you can check out below before inquiring for more information.
Montclair State University Field Hockey Camp
This particular summer lacrosse camp takes place in, you guessed it, Montclair, New Jersey. It will be happening from July 18th through July 21st this year, and it’ll be one of two places that will actually offer camp options beyond the more common day and half-day camps. Since this camp will take place on a college campus, extended day and overnight camps will be offered exclusively here.
Montclair Day Camp
Are you near the Montclair area and were bummed to read that there were no day or half-day camp options at Montclair State? Well, don’t worry — that’s why there’s a different location within Montclair that offers a half-day camp for those interested in such a thing. This offering will run from June 21st through June 25th.
The Hun School Field Hockey Camp
Between August 2nd and August 5th in Princeton, New Jersey, The Hun School will be a second location offering extended day and overnight camps for interested field hockey players.
