Here Are the Best 2021 Field Hockey Camps In New England

The best way to elevate your field hockey skills is to join us at a Revolution Field Hockey Camp this summer. We’ve been in this business since 2002, so you could say we’ve got this process down to a science, and more than 40,000 past campers can attest to the fact that we know how to create an unforgettable experience in many respects!

We know that to have the ultimate field hockey camp experience, players need to be afforded a safe and fun environment to learn and grow. After the type of year we’ve all experienced because of COVID-19, the concept of “safe and fun” has taken on a whole new meaning, and it’s something we take very seriously. We know how hard and weird the past year has been for everybody, and we’re proud to take all the necessary precautions to give field hockey players a small piece of normalcy by getting on the field.

What happens on the field isn’t the only focus during camp, either. We bring in some of the game’s top coaches from around the country to not only provide top-tier field hockey training but also stress the importance of being a good sport and leader. Each of our directors is Double-Goal Certified by the Positive Coaching Alliance, which reinforces the fact that we’re just as concerned with developing a player’s character as we are their on-field skills.

Some of the skills you’ll learn and hone at field hockey camp this summer include the following: dribbling, passing and receiving, ball control, shooting, defensive tackling, positioning, teamwork, footwork, agility, 3D skills, and scanning and tracing.

If you’re a field hockey player and live in New England, then this post is for you because we’ve got a number of camps happening this summer in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Here are some quick details you need to know before researching more and deciding to sign up for an experience of a lifetime.

Connecticut

Within the state of Connecticut, we’re excited to offer seven different locations for Revolution Field Hockey Camps in 2021. These areas include Bethany, Fairfield, Greenwich, New Haven, Ridgefield, Trumbull, and Westport. Due to ongoing concerns with COVID-19 and the desire to proceed with caution, none of these locations have extended day or overnight camps available right now. If that’s the type of camp experience you’d ultimately desire in Connecticut, keep checking back periodically to see if we add another location with this option for 2021.

Outside of that, the camp options that are available include day and half-day camps for those interested. The dates offered for these camps span rather evenly across the summer, too, going from the start of July and finishing in mid-August.

Massachusetts

If you live in Massachusetts — or, you’re willing to travel there for a specific camp experience — there are seven different locations available for 2021, as well. Those locations include the following: Buzzards Bay, Mount Hermon, Newton, Northampton, Norton, Osterville, and West Roxbury. Once again, the most popular camp offering is day and half-day camps, but there are some locations with other opportunities available.

If you desire an extended day or overnight camp experience, the Smith College Field Hockey Camp (in Northampton), the UMass Mt. Ida Field Hockey Academy (in Newton), and the MA Field Hockey Clinics at Massachusetts Maritime Academy (in Buzzards Bay) are all worth taking a look at. And, once again, the dates for these camps range from the beginning of July to the middle of August.
